I'm a bit stuck on this, what does an employer want to get from this? Any tips? Thanks in advance

It depends on the job.

I once asked a senior manager at our place what he looked for on a CV and he said he went straight to the hobbies section first to see if the applicant was a team player. If he saw that they were a member of an activity that involved interacting with others e.g. team sports, helping/running Scouting/Guiding activities etc, he then went on to read the rest of the CV.

If the job requires you to talk to customers just putting reading/watching TV and gardening isn't going to do much to sell yourself as they are solitary activities, but if you do something more outgoing as well, then put them first.

I usually try to list something sociable for the team aspect, something that shows I'm developing myself/have a specific interest and maybe a solitary activity.
