We have a new boss, still the same company but with lots of changes until next year. I've been told today that my new terms and conditions need to be signed in july when he takes over officially or I have no job. Including other item's.... I must work every Sunday and attend all services (work in a church but im not a member) I must also attend a meeting on a Tuesday and be flexible with what I do as my employment. my work days are currently wed-fri (part time 15hrs). I've also been told that he will not employ non church membersSad . So basically anyone who doesn't agree is out. I've also had the added gift of being told I need to train my replacement before I leave!Angry He aknowledged I'm good at my job and do a lot. Any advice from those in the know? I know its all illegal but he doesn't care. Are my only options a long draw out fight or walk away? There is no HR dept to approach.

In that case, call ACAS. They can advise you of the law and what steps to take, I think. Sounds like your employer is taking the piss but then you already knew that ...

StandsOnGoldenSands · 05/06/2014 19:32

Oh and : what does your employment contract say ?

WorkDilemas · 05/06/2014 20:35

dont have one in writing. So by law it's just what I've been working.

I think they are legally required to give you one in writing after a certain amount of time ? Might be a good starting question for ACAS ....

LancashireMan · 06/06/2014 16:54

Yes you are entitled to a written contract. How long have you been in continuous employment there?

WorkDilemas · 06/06/2014 17:22

Three and a half years. They will give me written contract with the new terms only. Which I can't signSad .

Do talk to ACAS and make sure you mention that you have never been given a written contract.

I will do, thank you.
