Teaching music to groups of children

Not a very catchy title! Can anyone recommend a course that would help me become qualified to use my musical skills to work with children or guide me to a website that will tell me about career options. Does anyone do something similar for a living?
Thanks

Are you thinking of pre school /baby type classes or teaching instruments to school age children?

Do you have any music qualifications or have you taught any music before?
For pre-school/babies, I don't think you need to be qualified as such, just enjoy it, be musical and being an entertainer.
For older children, it depends what you intend to teach and where.

Two of my DC did Monkey Music, which is a franchise. There may be an opportunity to do something similar to that, where you are.

The other went to baby and toddler classes run by another organisation, which was more localised. They had their own lessons, as well as Colourstrings Kindergarten, which is based on the Kodaly method.

One of my DC started to learn violin from 3 with a Suzuki style teacher. (Another started at 5.) She also taught piano, but from about 6 or 7. She went to the Royal College of Music, so very highly qualified as a musician, but I don't think she had teaching qualifications per se. Lots of experience, though.

We used to go to Rhythm Time, which involved lots of singing.
Think it's a franchise
