Is my ex husband entitled to claim any of my redundancy payment?

My husband and I have separated due to his unreasonable behaviour (texting/messaging other women). I am now living in a house I have bought by myself for me and our 2 kids. He sees them every fortnight and pays maintenance for them, and pays towards childcare/clubs/activities as agreed between us. We have not been to CSA or through the courts. He has not paid me any money as a settlement and we have no real assets to speak of (no house to sell etc).

I was informed yesterday that my position is being made redundant. I am being offered a Voluntary package or the chance to try for redeployment. The package would see me through 12 months if I couldn't find another job but to be honest, I am not concerned about that. I am concerned however that my husband may want to claim some of my redundancy pay out. Does anyone know whether he is entitled to anything? Any help greatly appreciated as it may affect my decision whether to stay or leave.

Have you got a legal separation agreement or a divorce? In which case your earnings should be protected, and so are his, minus CSA contributions.

If not, the house you bought, his earnings and yours are still common assets I believe. I would contact a solicitor or CAB to get advice in your situation.
