Hi All...

I am in the precarious position of being 4 months pregnant and just having been made redundant . To complicate matters we are in the process of relocating.

I normally work in HR, a career which I love. However, I only have 4 months to work really, and with a child already I can't seem to find a temp position which allows me to earn enough to cover the nursery fees.

To cut a long story short, I would like to earn a little money to cover a few bills with the luxury of staying at home.

Does anyone out there have any ideas/ experience to share???

I started selling Usborne books in June 05

I have an advert about it on the Jobs section were you wil get loads of questions answered on it

Many Organisers sell Usborne books and take their young Children with them to bookings

A friend of mine does really well and has 2 children aged 3 and 1!!!!!

This month it costs just £19 to join (half price offer) For that you get a starter kit of books and stationary worth around £100

Then its up to you, there is no pressure. Maybe has you start going to toddler groups you could ask to sell your books there. Or you can just hand round the leaflets/catalogues round your friends/family etc

Or get friends to hold a coffee morning or an evening were you could have your books on display

You can do any paperwork or if you wish to do some advertising or getting bookings all at home.

Then you take orders and payment, you order the books, keeping 24% back for yourself

This can rise with Bonuses and promotion

For example you could go to a toddler group, display your books for 60/90 minutes, sell £165 worth of books and come away with £40 for yourself and also often, free books for yourself

You are under no obligation to sell, you can just keep the starter kit if you wish and never sell a book ever!!

No pressure at all

It is worth it just for the kit

As I said, take a look at my ad in the jobs section (work from home selling childrens books)

If you or anyone else are interested in joining for £19, you will have to be quick!! You would have to have forms (that I can e mail you) to Usborne in 3 days

But it doesn't matter, they often have offers on

i'm an usborne organiser too and i'm really enjoying it. Great way to earn a bit of extra money and you can take your kids with you. Can't understand why i didn't do it sooner, lol.

Good luck in whatever you choose, there are ways to make money from home if your prepared to put in some work.

I do Pampered Chef Cooking shows on evenings when my other half can look after ds. Lots of mums find it very convenient and there's lots of earning potential as well as a lot of flexibility. Let me know if you are interested in knowing more.
