Help! Going back to work clothes

WildebeestH · 27/04/2014 20:57

I'm going back to work in a couple of weeks and have realised I have absolutely nothing to wear. Not only that I have no idea what size I am or what on earth people beyond the playground are wearing at the moment. Dresses seem easy (only need to find one thing in the morning). Where should I look? And what kind of style? I'm an hour glass shape, I'm guessing size 14ish and I want to be reasonably smart but comfortable. Apologies if this seems a tad trivial...

I like Next - good range of clothes and prices plys I like the petite range as I'm only 5 ft 2in so finding trousers that fit is a nightmare but Next ones always fit Smile

I'll be paying them a visit before I return to work later this year!

Hope you get sorted Smile

Forgot to add that Next black trousers are an essential staple for me because they look smart and can be worn with a huge range of tops Smile

I stocked up on Dorothy Perkins dresses. Their fit and flare bardour dresses category works perfectly with my pear. Dress + cardi + tights + ankle boots is my outfit virtually every day!

It's not trivial!

Getting ahead at work is all about the way you walk, talk and look (sad but true) so you should be planning ahead. Been there too. It was painful trawling the shops at lunchtime - when I should have been getting to know my new work colleagues. Oh having to get up an hour before I should so I could decide what to wear! Arrghhh.

So I've put together a hit-list of fabulous hourglass gear for you, so you don't have to think about what to wear.

Your starter pack hit list:

Steal:

Next online - amazing suits and dresses. Stick to v necks with sleeves where possible. Jazz up a dark suit with colourful shirt and patterns. Make sure your shirt fits too. No popping buttons or visible cleavage.
