Due date for SMP ?

My due date per scan is 3 days later than the due date from LMP - could someone please advise which will count as the due date for SMP purposes ?

The LMP dates mean that Feb & March monthly pay are the months that the 90% SMP is calculated on, whilst the scan date means that March and April form the basis of the calculation.

I'm due to be paid a bonus in April and I'd like to know whether I need to sweet talk my boss into paying it to me a month early

Have they officially changed your due date? They often don't if the difference is less than a week.

Also I think SMP is calculated on eight weeks' pay so I'm not sure how that is averaged

It's whatever date your midwife or doctor puts on your MATB1.

Thanks again - no, due date not officially changed but I'll chat to the midwife next week re what will go on the MATB1 and take it from there.

Then I think your Matb1 will be based on your LMP.

Here's the info about qualifying weeks - it says employer must use at least eight weeks including the last paydate before the end of the qualifying week (15 weeks before EDD)

Does the potential change in date tip you into a new week?

I've been using this to work out the dates as I'm paid monthly and it not only tips me into a new week but it tips me into a different month as the basis for the SMP calculation. It's only a smallish bonus, but every little helps on mat leave!
