DH and paternity pay

Is there anyway on the net that you can find out how much paternity pay a company pays?

DH was told 2 weeks and then was paid 1 week plus statutory for a week and is now being told that it is all he is, bloody hell what's the word, entitled (baby brain) to.

He is I annual leave at the moment so can't look on company website but definitely got 2 weeks with DS and hasn't changed company.

I'm assuming you've Googled?

Has he asked HR/his manager for a copy of the policy? Could he ask a colleague to check for him?

He just gone to get DS from school but is going to try to get the info when he gets back.

It's a material amount of money which would come in handy at the moment.

The guy in HR who told him it was 2 weeks has now left (maybe because he was giving out the wrong info??) and a lady in HR is now being incredibly rude to DH, not that it makes a jot of difference. Just thought I could maybe get the info somewhere else for DH to stop his stressing.

The company he worked for has changed hands since DS was born so I suppose that may have something to do with it.

He did say the weeks we had off were priceless bless him. Grin

Fathers who've worked for their employers for 26 weeks before the 15th week before the due date are entitled to two weeks statutory paternity pay (£136.78 p/w).

Anything above and beyond that is at the discretion of the company - if I were him I'd just ring the HR department and ask them to send him a copy of the policy.

If he works for a public organisation it might be on their website. Some private companies might put it on their intrnet site which only their employees would be able to access.

It's an American company, he's been there over 20 years, so entitled to statutory, just had no idea it had changed from when we had DS and has no notification of any change.

Have looked on Internet and nothing!

Thanks guys, I was just trying to see if there was a way of double checking and sorting out before he got home to cheer him up or stop him stressing about it.

He'll have to ring a colleague for clarification.
