I cant have best of both worlds but I seriously Need a job now to support my baby .My hubby says there is no need to work for the next 2 years as it is full time job in itself but I cant be a housewife.I feel depressed being a women .FIrst time in my life I feel women are so weak ...Please help and suggest some thing that motiavtes me to get ahead in life ...Can people go back to work even after long gaps ?

Hi GG,
I'm so sorry to hear you're in such a negative frame of mind. It seems as if the timing of all this isn't very good for you.
Yes of course people can go back to work after long gaps. I took 11 years out myself, but it depends on the job market, and from what you say, you haven't been able to find a job at the moment.

It doesn't sound as if you want to be a SAHM though.

Could you do some voluntary work whilst you are pregnant that is related to HR? I'm sure there are charities who might welcome your skills. Contact your local council/library - they should be able to signpost you to your local Volunteer Centre.
As I'm sure you're aware, gaining a foot in the door and networking can really help you get back into the job market FT when you're ready.

Alternatively, you could consider combining FT work & motherhood. Childcare is usually available, although it can work out expensive...

Whatever you and your DH decide, you do have options both now and in the future.
Good luck Smile
