Grievance? If not, what?

Ok, I need to be basic in what I say here, in order to keep confidentiality. But everything was done by the book, apart from this which I have heard of today.

16 days ago, X was dismissed from her post due to gross misconduct. She has no problem with the dismissal. However, yesterday she found out that on the day she was dismissed, her SIL was called into a meeting at the company where X worked. SIL used to work there as well, and was called in about potentially returning to work there. However whilst in the meeting, she was told of the investigation, the allegations against X, that X was in 'big trouble'. Basically confidentiality was blown to smithereens.

My query is, what recourse does X have if any? Can she raise a grievance given that she is no longer employed by the company, even though she was employed at the time the meeting was held?

Not sure about the legalities but frankly I wouldn't waste my time or effort pursuing it.

If it relates to her employment she could raise a grievance/complaint. Doesn't really matter what it's called.

My question would be what would X be hoping to achieve?
