My boss has asked me to post my sick note to a colleague (same level as me, not a manager). I'm not sure why, I think it's because boss working away from the office a lot.
I'm unhappy to do this as my sick note is confidential - and whilst I'm happy for my boss and staff in other departments like HR to see it, I don't want my colleague to see it. My boss is obliged to keep it confidential but my colleague isn't.
What are the rules WRT sick note confidentiality in this situation?
