I recently got a job as a support worker for adults with disabilities. I was shocked to even get shortlisted for an interview after being at home for a long time then got to 2nd stage. Then they interviewed for a full week and rang to say I got the job.
Anyway my CRB has cleared, references are in and I start on Monday. It's 9 to 5 first week of induction then shifts.
I'm excited and nervous. Have also just got a car and haven't driven much for almost 11 years
So I'm certainly going for it aren't I?
I've had a mixed bag of comments. Most positive. Some like my mam saying it may be too much? Well yes it may but I won't know until I try?
Dp works permanent nightshift so it will be hard. But the extra income and boost to my self esteem will be worth it, I hope? Dss are teenagers so pretty independent.
I'm a qualified hairdresser (colour and cutting mainly) and do have some clients but am sure I can fit them in too?
