Careers advisor/coach

I can neither afford nor want to work at my job in central London now I have two young children. I want to do a career change but don't know what to go into. I really want to leave office work behind me. Has anyone used a careers coach? If so are they worthwhile? How much do they cost? Any you would recommend in Surrey.

I have my first appointment next week with a life coach. the main topic of conversation for me will be my career and lack of direction. Im struggling with the decisions of working for myself, or settling for a pt/ft job.

She books a 3 session block for £300 so £100 each. Im hoping its going to be worth it as that quite alot of money to me. But I think if it works it will be money worth spent.

Hi , if you get in touch with the national careers service you should be able to see a careers adviser free of charge

Wow, Sameb that is a lot of money! Of course if it works, then it is money well spent. Please could you let me know how the life coach session goes. (Ironically, I have considered retraining as a life coach).

Middlesex mummy- I will get onto them right away. Thank you!
