How to have a career later in life?

Hopefully this is the right section to post. I am in my early 30s and pregnant with 2nd DC (other DC is 3). I have a business studies degree and for the last 10 years have worked in low paid admin jobs. Even though I got a 2:1 I had no confidence in myself when I left uni and thought admin was all I was good for. Fast forward 10 years and I realise I have wasted my potential and wish I had some sought of career. I was bought up to believe work was not important and was bullied by my parents and turned out very shy with no confidence, but since having my own DC I have gained so much confidence and realise I could do a lot more. But where do I start? I have good gcses, okayish A levels, a degree in business studies and 10 years low admin experience. What on earth could I do with this? I am pregnant at the moment, due soon, but would like to set some kind of life plan in place. Help please!

First ask yourself what you would like to do - not what you could do. If money is a motivator then you may find yourself in a (hopefully) childcare friendly role that may not stroke your soul but which may pay the bills well enough.

No potential is ever wasted - early 30's is so young! You sound lovely and somewhere out there there is a (job) pot for your lid!

Congratulations on new baby when he/she comes - enjoy Smile
