I would second paying somebody if you need quick results. SEO is a developing area, somebody who does it all the time will know the latest developments etc.
Not sure if I have understood correctly but I would be wary of using a SEO person who also runs a similar business. There could be a conflict of interest, unless they operate miles away?
Ideally you also need to produce content which can help draw people in.
I also wonder is 'asthetic nursing' is a likely search term. I would expect your site to mention botox etc. I can see you are keen to present a professional and qualified image (which you do) but you also need to think how potential customers think. Having said that I have (yet!) to google those services, so perhaps if I did I would know the term asthetic nursing.
I pay somebody (who I found via peopleperhour.com) £20 an hour to help with SEO and google ads. £150 doesn't sound that unreasonable, but I would ask a few people for quotes. You want reporting as part of that to chart progress of your rankings.
If you don't already, do also consider google ads. If you search this board there are a couple of very helpful threads full of tips. Just DON'T listen to the people at google who say you should be spending £000s a month. I am a marketing freelancer and I pay c£10 a month and get leads from it.
Finally, you might alreadly do this but do add yourself to local directories (whispers, netmums noticeboards are free) and increase your online presence generally, which in turn will help you SEO.
Good luck.
