hi could someone help me to understand this please.
I do the payroll for the company I work for an help do people's annual leave etc but I've never trained in it so a little unsure of something and I am the only part timer until now.
I've always worked my holiday out on the number of days I do so 4 days x 5.6 entiliement for a full timer gives 22.4 days a year which needs to be used for bank Hols too. I work 30 hours over the 4 days.
Now someone is starting on 30 hours but over 5 days. I would have thought that based on the previous calculation as they work 5 days it should be 5 x 5.6 = 28. but then I got thinking how unfair that would be on me that he gets more holidays even tho we did the same hours but he did he's over 5 days as apposed to my 4.
Could someone explain to me how this should be worked out properly??
Thanks in advance :)
