Hi All,

I really need some sound hlep with this one.

I agreed flexible working with my employer (a local government council) after the birth of myy son in 2010. This allows me to work at home a couple of days a week. I reall need this as my son is severly disabled and I often need to work around medical appointments etc.

I am currently on maternity leave again after having m second child, and myy employer is now saying that I have to reapply for Flexible Work as the now will need me in the office more every week due to a re-organisation.

Firstly, I do not see how this will be effected by my working at home as its alwas worked well before.

Secondl, I was under the impression that the flexible working was now written into myy contract, so surel they cannot change it?

I have contacted b HR and am waiting for their responce, but I would be grateful if anyone knows anthing about emploment law, or where I could go for definitive advise online.

This is difficult to cope with while Im on maternity leave. I should be dealing with my lovely new baby and getting m now two year old sons SEN nurser school arrangements sorted out, but instead Im worring about work!!!!

Thanks in advance

xx

Unless here was a specific temporary arrangement made, your flexible working arrangements do constitute a permanent change to your contract and therefore can't be revoked.
