help with nanny contract

I need to crack on with this... and my nanny, while great, needs an awful lot of reminding to do some of her basic chores which is making me think her duties should be clearly set out in writing.
But my question is - should the actual contract be general eg. "you will be expected to carry out the duties of a skilled nanny" and then refer to a separate list of duties and maybe another list of house rules which would then make them non-contractual (I think) and therefore I could alter them as needed as the kids grow up etc.
Or should I do quite a simple contract but also a kind of staff handbook that lists everything that needs to be done?

Usually in a general employment situation an employee would have a contract (the terms under which they work) and a job description, listing their duties.

Have you tried tge nanny section?

Thanks. I have posted on the nanny section and the feeling was to be as specific as possible - my question is more a legal one in asmuchas what should go in the actual contract and what should go in an attached schedule. And should there be a separate kind of handbook on things like.. how things should be done eg. in the contract - keep the children safe. In a staff handbook be more specific about exactly how..
