Changing 'day off' beyond temporary trail period - how to build a case

I have since returning from my first lot of maternity leave had a Wednesday 'off' ie I work a 4 day week, and Weds is the day I don't work. However, following a rather nasty bout of exhuastion/depression earlier in the year and a period of having Fridays off instead, I asked my manager if I could continue to have Fridays off long term, rather than reverting to Wednesday.
She had requested that I revert to Wednesday from Jan 2013.
I prefer Friday for lots of obvious personal reasons but I need to build a (business) case to present to her as to why it is better. From a work point of view I find it easier to have 4 consecutive days at work as I don't lose the momentum. Also Friday is typically a down day in many work places any way and I there are seldom meetings taking place on Fridays.
I travel regularly with my job (often over a weekend) and my boss argues taht if I have Weds off, the travelling doesnt interfer with this and I am less likely to have to switch around my day off. Doesn't feel like this to me, I often have had to switch and work a Weds and then take a day in lieu further down the line.
Can anyone suggest any further ammunition to strengthen my case.
FWIW, I think she is just being obstructive as out of a pretty small team (me plus 2 x full time more senior than me and a shared admin) I am the only one who has a family....her exact words on the thorny issue of working less than part time was that she has made a 'special dispensation' for me (!)
Any input gratefully received!
