Hi peeps need some advice!

Due to return in sept fulltime, dd will be nearly 9mnths. Have an 8 yr old also.

I work shifts 7-3pm and 2:30-9pm (randomly). Pain in the bum but not the end of the world (oh I am a single mum too!)

Boss left me a voice mail today saying I am going to have to do some nights as they are short staffed.

Now I dont object to nights as they can work out quite well and did them for over 2 yrs after having my son problem is i am still bf and dd at the mo still waking me every 3-4 hrs. I stopped bf my son when i returned to work but for dd i dont want to, i have never expressed and she has never had a bottle!! I can manage day shifts and feed her before i go and when i get in but night time is a whole new ball game!!!

It is part of my contract to work rotation of shifts but when i got promoted my manager said i didnt need to even if i wanted, as i have offered before but said no!

I dont want to stop bf and tbh i dont want to express and bottle feed i think i would rather give up bf

Have you talked to them about your concerns? They may just not have taken that into account. You have the right to ask for your needs to be taken into consideration so theres no harm trying..

They cannot discriminate against you for asking and have to take your request seriously by law. They have to give you a good reason why it isnt possible to do as you ask. This is in addition to any contractual rights you have
