What do you do? We have 'Sleeping', for catching up on sleep if you are called out at night. We provide a call out service, but demand is sporadic.

Do you have a workforce that get muddy etc for their job (drainage, bin men) and can go and clean up in work time?

You get paid for dirty weekends in your work Shock?

Days In something Training something ?

Virgil · 04/07/2012 23:17

If its local authority it refers to things like blood spillages, vomit etc where workers get paid more for cleaning, for example where a council property has to be cleaned for a new tenant.

If not then my guess is that someone thought it would be funny to insert the word dirty before the word weekend!

Cremolafoam · 04/07/2012 23:52

Lolololol !!
Yes maybe for cleaning up work : there's plenty of mud slung in council chambers.

If I was getting paid for a dirty weekend I'd be made up. The payroll system has a hard enough time keeping up with my weird hours. Basically I work 80 hrs per month anytime of the day or night. Depends on Rota. Payroll just roll their eyes when they see me coming.
Will ask tomorrow to make sure it's not a joke.
Dh reckons they shove my clocked hours in there til they work out what to do with them( rate)

Years ago, in nursing you used to get 10p extra an hour if you worked on a geriatric ward because you had to deal with a lot more poo (to use the scientific term!) than on other wards. It might be something like that?

It is dirty money for blood, vomit, faeces, vermin infestation. Honestly
