Hi,

Are there any teachers out there that use child care ?

I'm going back to work in sept.

I already use a childminder and need to continue to use during the summer holidays to keep the place open

Forgot to mention that DD is 10 months old, and I feel guilty for putting her into child care so much!

I use a nursery & have a term time only contract, which saves a few ££. A few places do this but don't always advertise the fact.

I will have a childminder from September. She is good though as I only have to pay half to keep his place open during school holidays asshe takes a lot of school aged kids during this time.
However, that could change. Meeting up with her this afternoon!!

I am a teacher and I'm going back on Monday :(

DS is going to a lovely small local nursery and he's there on a term time only basis so we don't pay for the holidays.

I work pt (3 days) and use a nursery. I have to pay during the holidays but I find it quite useful- I usually send DD for a day or two, get all the house stuff done in that time (and the appointments etc that you can't easily do in term time). That leaves the rest of the week for us to do fun stuff together.

I'm due to start back in September (after a 2 year break) and DD will be going to a childminder. Luckily she is offering a term-time only contract with no retainer.
