Bank hols and Accrued Hols whilst on Maternity Leave

I am due back in July but hoping to go back 2/3 days a week. I have worked out that I should have accrued about 22 days including entitled to bank holidays and full time holidays until the date I go back. If you only go back part time can you tag these on to the end of your ML even it amounts to another 9/10 weeks off if you are only working a few days a week?

I can only go by personal experience (depends on your contract) but we didn't accrue bank holidays on mat leave.

I used my accrued leave to tack 3 weeks extra paid at ft rate onto my mat leave. I don't think you'd be able to go part time and then use ft rate of holidays but I may well be wrong.

A friend used her accrued hols to go part time for a couple of months qhile being paid ft though, so I guess that's another option if your work would allow it.

Yes - once you've accrued them they are yours. Your employer isn't bound to let you take them at a time of your choice bit you must be allowed to take them before the end of the annual leave year.

Your bank hols are yours - I was paid mine before I went on mat leave but I understand other companies all deal with bank holidays in different manners but you are entitled to them.

Yes if they were accrued while you were on full time hours during maternity leave they are yours to take- I'll be going back in sept part time but will be getting paid again from beginning of august due to accrued leave and bank hols.

Afaik, it works a bit differently if you were part time before you went on maternity, but for full time they should all be yours- your contract will be changing after you have already accrued them, if that makes sense.

You decide when you want to go p/t and take accrued leave at appropriate pay. Eg - 4 weeks accrued leave at full pay or 7 weeks on p/t pay if you choose to go p/t as soon at your period of actual maternity leave finishes.
