Part time teacher 0.6 ..underpaid?

Don't know if any p/t teachers can help me with this. I got my P60 today with my annual pay £24435. I am ups3 in inner London and the nut website calculates my pay if f/t would be £45000.
I am assuming at 0.6 I am paid 3/5 of this salary and that equates to £27000 pa. Am I right here or have I missed something? I have been p/t for 4 years so may have been underpaid for the duration I've never checked.
Would I approach school or payroll at the LEA to find out and if I am right who is liable to back pay me?

Are the inner London weightings really that massive ? UPS3 is nowhere near £45 000.

I could tell you what ups2 fringe allowance 0.6 would be, if that helps?

Dolliedaydream · 16/05/2012 20:46

Thanks clam it would.

Backforgood according to the nut pay calc that's the allowance, obviously I knew it was more but not in relation to ups3 anywhere else.

If you salary is £45, it's just calculated at 60%. So, your salary should have been 27K. It looks as if you have been underpaid but I can't work out how they've got it wrong. Your payroll provider doesn't input 45K but UPR3 and the system them calculates your actual salary.

are you sure you are 0.6? have you had a calculation showing the hours you work out of total possible hours (including registration etc)

clam · 16/05/2012 20:55

Only have my Feb payslip handy, but it says £21,889.80 Doesn't say how that translates to full-time equivalent.
Fringe allowance is inclusive in total, so not itemised.

AngelEyes46 · 16/05/2012 20:56

Sorry - that's assuming you're working for a state school.

clam · 16/05/2012 20:58

Oh, and I'm amused to notice that apparently I work 19.5 hours per week!

AngelEyes46 · 16/05/2012 20:58

I can't get 24435 to work back to a salary point on any pay scale. Are you looking at the right part on your P60, i.e. has your pension been taken off?

Dolliedaydream · 16/05/2012 21:11

Angel eyes I think you must be right, I can't see anything about pensions it just says net pay for the year but having found a payslip from jan 2011(so organised!) my salary before deductions was £2250 which x 12 = £27k. Mystery solved dreams of a lump sum for maternity leave dashed! Thank you ladies for your help.
