Finding jobs in HR with overseas experience

Hi all. I've got a friend who just relocated to the Uk following her husband who was offered a job in London. Before this she was a HR Business Partner at a multinational group with lots of experience at strategic level both locally anh regionally. She's finding very difficult to find a job in HR in the Uk. Most recruiters gave favourable reviews on her CV and she's got a couple of first interviews but it's all ended there. How would you advise her? Many thanks

Has she asked for feedback on the interviews from agencies where they were involved or direct from the employer if it was a direct application.

How long was she based abroad, does she have decent UK HR experience? if not the concern will be her UK employment law knowledge and experience I imagine.

Is there no opportunity to work in HR in the UK for the same multi-national as she was working for before she relocated to the UK?

Has she applied for jobs where good knowledge of whatever country it was would be an asset?

Yes the issue has mainly been in the lack of UK law and regulations. The firm age used to work for is very localised wherever they are so not much if connections to UK even though it's headquartered in London. She has asked her ex colleagues to watch out for internal postings but none has been forthcoming for the last 8 months. I guess she should keep trying for luck. Would you suggest any qualification to help her UK knowledge? Thanks

What level role has she been going for? Without decent UK employment law knowledge and experience she will struggle to get anything at the level she was at abroad, as it's obviously a massive chunk of the job.

The qualification in the UK is through the CIPD which I'm sure she has looked into, and would definitely be worth doing in her case to fill in some of those gaps.
