Would you be interested in a lodger one night a week, and how much would you charge?

Just wondering.... I have an interview for a job two days a week 3 hours from my house. I think it would work best if I stayed overnight between the two days. Had a look on spare-room.com and can only find full-week rents. Do you think this is something you'd consider and for how much? I'm a good babysitter and ironer too Smile

I would do it - would charge prob 25quid a night with breakfast included (provided you eat toast, and drink juice/tea/coffee)
BUT - I wouldn't be prepared to give you sole use of the room as I would a Mon-Fri lodger, I might still want to use it for guests at the weekend, or dry washing in there etc.
You would have you own duvet/pillows to store in the wardrobe, so all I would have to do is change the sheets if necessary.

Good luck with your hunt for lodgings!

I'd love something like that.DDs both started uni in September. We're getting used to our freedom and wouldn't want someone for a whole week. Would really consider it.
Wouldn't a B&B be cheaper for you? And would you want exclusive use of the room?

I would - like Harbinger probably in a couple of years once dcs have fled the nest, as I can't imagine anyone wanting to share with the whole clan! - I think it's a great little bit of extra cash for little intrusion. I'm not sure what website would link you up though........

....... there you are enterprising MNers... a business / website waiting for someone to start it! Grin

I guess the cost would depend on what was included / space you could provide / if you had to share bathrooms or not / if you expected evening meal or cooked breakfast or something. I wouldn't know off the top of my head, I'd do research into what houseshares cost and what B&Bs cost around here first.
