Redundancy during pregnancy - something doesn't seem right

Hope this isn't too long, but don't want to miss anything that may be relevant.

My company was bought out last october and are currently going through restructure.

I am a senior service advisor and head up a team of 5 service advisors. We are managed by an overall manager who has various other responibilities, I oversee day to day running of things but I don't make any management decisions, can't discipline or sack anyone etc.

The department is being relocated and will merge with a larger department, although we will still be an independent team, we will just be at a different location and have a different overall manager.

All of our jobs are being made redundant, the service advisors have been offered aftersales advisor roles and been told their basic wage will stay the same athough it is likely the amount of bonus that they earn will change. I have been told that my 'service manager' role is redundant, but I can apply for a senior aftersales advisor role at a massively reduced pay rate. When I explained that I didn't have a manager's role, the HR person brushed it off and said I could apply for the senior role.

If I were to take the senior role on the salary offered, I would actually earn less than some of the advisors. I will also lose my company car.

I'm not sure why the service advisors are keeping the same basic wage and have been offered roles, whereas I have been told I can apply for a role with a substantial pay cut when it is the same as my current role?

The company knew that I was pregnant and I'm wondering if they're trying to get me out.

If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.

The same as your current role? So this new position will be the same tasks and responsibilities as your current role but just with less money and no car?

In that case there is no redundancy situation, it's a change of terms and conditions, which they can't do.

How are they justifying the senior person earning less than the 'normal' people? Is there no salary structure or similar?

Where is your manager in all this? Supporting you?

Yes, same tasks and responsibilities as I currently have, although they seem to think I have additional responsibilities which I don't!
Their justification on the salary was that sometimes a sales manager would earn less than a sales person in this industry which is true but they have completely different job roles, ie the sales manager would not be able to earn the same level of commission due to not actually sellling, however in my job rrole I would be expected to carry out the same duties as the 'normal' advisors but I would have additional duties and responsibilities.
My manager has also beeen made redundant but has advised me to take the job (!) He said this because apparently I won't be able to get another job with being pregnant. He seriously doesn't have a clue.
Sorry if this is difficult to read, I'm on my phoone.
