Being forced to reduce hours

I work from home doing admin for the company that I worked for full time before being pregnant (I worked in the office then).

Because I'm involved in wages which is a monthly process rathaus than daily, I am paid for an average amount of hours per week, and then keep a time sheet, showing what I work so that any adjustments can be made - usually once every 6 months and usually only a couple of hours overtime.

However, the daughter of the company owner has to be found a place in the office for a day a week and be given jobs - and one of the jobs would be mine. As such, I'm worried that I will end up having a shortfall of hours and will be asked to reduce my hours at the next 6 monthly review.

The company has been very good with me, and I'm scared that if I rock the boat, my review will be a goodbye review IYSWIM.

Can anyone tell me if this is legal? Or what I can do to prevent this happening? I have already flagged my displeasure with my line manager, but as its the company owners daughter, hands are a bit tied.

I think you'd best cross that bridge if it ever comes to it.
If they give her your work based in the office, I'm sure that they'd have to offer it to you first (assuming that they make up a reason why it has to be done in the office rather than at home for that day.)

If it's a day a week I don't see her getting through much. The training itself would take forever.

I'd just watch with interest.
