OK, it might be starting, or I might just be over-sensitive.
Some of you know my story already - in a nutshell, I had to bring in HMRC to force my employer to pay maternity pay.

They have just randomly cancelled a day of my work on Monday 6th Feb. If I just accept this, can HR argue that I am accepting the so-called casual nature of my work? This week they changed my Monday hours from 1-5 to 2-6 with 24 hours notice, so I couldn't do the final hour as the babysitter couldn't stay for an extra hour at such short notice.

Part of my argument has been that I have regular fixed hours which are set by my employer. I am wondering whether they have decided to change my hours as often as possible to undermine this argument.

(The change for this week also means I might have to pay the babysitter while receiving no pay myself - will speak to her and ask whether she can find any other work for that day. I'd feel bad about not paying her when I'd already booked her.)
