Hi everyone recently my son has left home to attend UNI (which im very proud of) as soon as he left child benefit stopped so did child tax and my working tax credit. And to top it all all over time in work was stopped due to cutbacks. So at the moment i only work 12.5 hrs a week in a sch which has left me well and truly skint. My wages for the month i 445 my rent is 45 a week (due to housing benefit)my council tax is 95 a month i earn to much for job seekers,my son is 19 so not a dependant so im not entitled to income support & dont work enough hrs for tax credits ! I asked my work for 3.5 extra hrs a week to bring it to 16 for tax credit but now im not sure if my son is at uni do i have to work 30hrs or more

Surely if your son is no longer at home it would be nice to up your hours? Why don't you look for a FT job?

Your income is not enough to cover your outgoings. You need to start looking for a full-time post or one with a bigger salary.
