Sick pay? Is there a statuatory or is the a sick'benefit?

Dh may have to have an op on his hand. He won't be able to work either of his jobs . One job is casual ( no sick pay. Other has no contract but he works 16h a week in it and gets annual leave.

Is there anything out there as this may be for a month or so?

Look up SSP on direct.gov.uk

Just because a job is casual doesn't mean he won't get sick pay.

His contract for casual job says he's not eligible.

He also doesnt earn over £102 a week without combining the jobs.

His contract says he's not eligible for SSP? Its paid by the government isn't it?

I think you take earnings from all emplyment to get the average weekly earnings.

Yes. Because it's casual he's not guaranteed the work so can't say he should have been working IYSWIM.

He earns £90 in one job and the casual job is approx £60 a week but he's not been infor 2 weeks so not earnt. Hopefully thats not going to be part of the 8 weeks qualifying!
