I will be sending a bill for the days holiday I have to take if my daughters school is closed due to strike action. I guess 15 week holiday is just not enough

Your DD's teacher might be in the ATL - make sure you don't miss them out.

If you take a look at some of the other threads on mumsnet at the moment you will see the strike is not to do with holidays. Although of course if a non-striking teacher's child were not able to go to school due to their teacher being on strike, the teacher wouldn't be able to take a day's holiday.

On a different note I do wish that xiaojree would stop spamming the boards with all their adverts. Most annoying (have reported that one)

Absolutely. Children should be taught daily the many benefits of allowing your employer to treat you like dirt. Without complaint. Let them freeze your pay, reduce your pension, generally bugger you about. Learn to love it and be grateful for your job.
