have been self-emplyed last 4 years, and am (hopefully) getting a job soon, obviously i don't have a p45/p60 so am i going to be basic rate taxed??
i have yet to file my tax return for 10/11, so will that make a difference if i get that in?
any help much appreciated - i really dont want to spend an eternity trying to get answers from hmrc!

747L is the basic tax code. Speak to HMRC and they will confirm for you.

In any case an employer will have you fill out a p46 to find out your tax code.
