Mat leave from 2 employers. How does it work?

I currently have 2 jobs, both in the same sector but different employers. I do 25 hours a week on my main job, and 12.5 hours a week for my second job.

I'm assuming that my maternity pay will be pro-rata'd between the 2 jobs, so 2/3 from my main job and 1/3 from my second job. Is this correct?

It seems the obvious way to me, but the manager at my 2nd job said my main job would have to pay it all. I can't find any information anywhere to say what happens if you have more than one job, except that you only get given 1 MatB1 form and you have to ask the midwife to write a separate letter for your 2nd employer.

No. You get SMP from both employers if you earn enough to qualify for SMP - around £110 ish a week. Basically you have to earn at least the lower earning limit in both jobs. Also the jobsmust be for different employers.

If you earn it in only one job you get SMP from that and not the other.

Hmmm I'll have to find out what the earnings threshold is.
Thanks. Hope I qualify in at least 1 job!

Just had a read. The way I understand it, if I earn enough to pay national insurance (which I do in both jobs) I get SMP.
I could be better off than I expected. :)
Won't get my hopes up until I've double checked my wage slips.
Thankyou!
