If you have an English Language/Literature degree can you do a PGCE to train to become a Primary school teacher even though you have not covered other National Curriculum subjects? How does this work?

afaik you can train to be a primary teacher on a PGCE with any degree provided you have your science, english and maths gcse's at the required grades.

They will love you for a primary PGCE with an English degree.

Hard to get on to though. Have you got experience in a primary school?

Any degree as longa s you can show relevance to some area of NC so yes.

you will absoluely need primary experience as a qualifer hough; am doing a day a week myself for same reason. And GCSE in maths / English Lang / Science, possibly at grade B depending on uni. Many no longer take equivalents so my maths Access is no longer any good and I have to retake.
