Nanny payroll recs?

Hello, wondered if anyone on here could recommend a nanny payroll service (such as nannytax, which I have used before, but seems to be getting more and more expensive and I don't need a contract check just payslips and quarterly tax and return etc!) Many thanks in advance!

Find an accountant to do it instead is my recommendation. I have an accountant who does my end-of-year, payroll for myself plus self-assessment for myself, and he is doing my nanny's payroll for an additional £50. I used Nannypaye and they were pretty rubbish tbh, not good value at all.

I did a lot of research on this and definitely recommend 'taxcare for nannies' (www.taxcarefornannies.co.uk/) - the most affordable and incredibly easy to work with - very accessible

www.payefornannies.co.uk/

Try these guys. I have just started using them and hey are pretty reasonable

I use PAYE for nannies. Agree that I found Nannytax shockingly expensive.

Flowery - do you know what your accountant would charge if you weren't giving him other business? As an employee, I don't need an accountant, but might be worth looking into...

Hi Ribena - not sure. My total fee last year for my personal payroll, SA and the company accounts stuff was about £450 I think, not including the nanny's payroll. So although I imagine it would be more than the £50 he's charging me, probably not a lot more. The nanny isn't employed by my company either, so I am set up as a separate employer as well.

Might be worth checking. You know, seeing as you can probably manage without the shockingly incompetent employment law stuff and all that... Grin

Hee hee, yes, I'd hope I could deal with contracts, holidays and the like! I'll check that out when I come up for renewal. Hadn't really thought about going straight to an accountant.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. If I had an accountant already then I would get them to do it, but the thought of trying to find an efficient one is a bit too much right now and I am guessing it wouldn't just be £50 for payslips etc.
Might give PAYE for nannies a go. Will report back in a few months!
