I have googled but all i can find is the personality testing and then more accidemic ones. Can any give me some insight, experiences or general help as ithink he is now a little nrvous.

I think in this situation he'd be well advised to call them and ask them which tests they will be. Most well known psychometric tests have names i.e. Myers Briggs. That is a totally reasonable request.

Failing that I probably wouldn't worry about it too much. If the interviewers give him the chance to discuss the results, and they should, he can talk it around to any viewpoint.

I work in HR and we routinely give prospective employees psychometric tests. Have a look at www.SHL.com, you can do some sample tests, obv I don't know what tests he will be sitting but they all work along the same lines. Theres also stuff on there that can help you prep for interviews in general so its pretty useful. The tests we use give candidates the chance to try some example questions before the actual test and there is ample time to ask questions about procedure etc. Its not nice, no one likes tests but once you start you tend to forget your nerves and just focus on the questions.
Hope this helps and that DH's interview goes well.
