obese but after a job about healthy living

I've seen a job I'm interested in, which is interviewing people who are overweight about their physical activities and what would encourage them to take up more exercise.
Although I'm obese I do go to the gym regularly and do my best to stick to a healthy diet. Do you think I would pass an interview for this type of job? I'm worried that any interviewer would take one look at me and think that I give off the wrong message. WWYU? (I've also posted this in the MN 'overweight' section]

You might find that other overweight people would sympathize with you and give you more honest answers because you are not some tanned chiselled adonis...

(I am not saying that to be mean, I am saying it as a fellow frump Grin)

It's all very well having some size 8 girl telling you 'do this, do that, you should be doing this to lose weight...'

If it's coming from somebody going through the same it would be less invasive

Agree with bethelbeth.

Anyway, you might be overweight but it sounds like you are reasonably fit.

Go for it!

Go for it. Perhaps tell the interviewer that you understand what it's like to be overweight and that you can really give these people inspiration.

Good luck!

FiveFeetTwo and TheFarSide - If I go for it I think I might put something along the lines of what you've just said in my job application.

Apply. I agree that people might feel more motivated by info coming from you than from a size 8. The most brilliant yoga teacher I ever had was obese. She was inspirational.
