Question about Bank Holidays if you don't work Mondays

I am going back part time soon
Will I get days off in lieu of a bank holiday? Do they 'owe' me that?

TIA

You should get the same as full timers on a pro rata basis. It doesn't matter what days of the week you work.

So if full timers get 28 days including bank holidays, and you work 3 days a week, you should get 3/5 of that. 28/5x3= 16.8 which you'd round up to 17.

So your total entitlement including any bank holidays which fall on your normal working days, would be 17.

When you work part time you get at allocation of leave to be used fir bank hols. If you don't work Mondays then you have to use less of this leave. If you do work them, like me, then it eats into your annual leave as well because it doesn't cover them all.

I still cannot understand how this is fair but anyway...

How is it not fair RockinRobin? Would you advocate that instead those part time staff who do work Mondays are given more paid leave than everyone else?

If you don't work Mondays and that is part of your contract then no you don't get anything off in lieu of the bank holidays.
