Accounts Programmes with payroll?

I definatly need a payroll package I was thinking of Sage instant Payroll as thats what I've used before. But I could really do with an accounts package too, any recommendations? I'm a childminder with a turnover hopefully of 30K and 2 employees.

Sage do a financial package that includes the accounts and payroll don't they!?!?!?!?

munz · 23/09/2005 10:36

erm. I have a copy of sage I wouldn't mind selling to you, has payroll etc, it's the finacial suite I think - it's been opened and loaded on the comp but I never registered it.

I think Sage have various packages that can be integrated, from memory (although a long time ago that I used them). They are all very easy to set up and use though.

Thanks guys sorry the computer crashed so I couldn't reply. What version do you have Munz? and how much do you want for it?

i like sage, easy enough to work with and seems to include everything.

Xena · 24/09/2005 08:45

xena - I have sage instant Finacial Suite V10 (current one is V11) it has the accounts and the payroll as I say it's been opened but never registered. has all the books etc. also have a pack of 500 sheets each of invoice paper and payroll payslips (the A4 one) have talked it over with DH and was thinking £60 inc the P&P which I anticipate to be quite a bit. let me know what u think - that would include all of the invoice/payroll paper etc so u could just load up and go as it were.

(if not make me an offer - am open to suggestions as it's only gathering dust here!)

its prob well outdated now tbh. where i used to work (year and a half ago) they did everything through line 50 and the payroll bit. im assuming thats an old kinda thing as they werent keen on updating the computers! but it was sage and it did us fine, i found it easy enough to use anyway.

if you're looking to buy new quickbooks is very good too.

katymac · 26/09/2005 21:34

Xena - I do mine (3 employees and a similar turnover) with an excell spreadsheet and the Inland Revenue CD-ROM

It's not difficult and it makes the self assessment really easy

Bear in mind that the payroll package needs to be updated annually every April because of legislation changes.

You can do this by means of an annual support contract, or by buying the payroll part every year.

TBH you might be cheaper paying someone to do it for you.
