At risk of sounding daft, why is mn generally not sufficient? It's fairly diverse on here

juneybean · 22/11/2010 19:27

I wanted to suggest netmums...

pmsl @ lynette

yes OP why can't you use mumsnet? or similar?

JaxTellersOldLady · 22/11/2010 19:28

well there is the mumsnet local pages. if you have a look you will find your nearest one.

But I dont quite understand what you mean? Are you after toddler groups or just SAHM only groups?

Personally my group of friends includes SAHM, WFHM and WOHM and the 50/50s who SAH half the week and WOH rest of week.

Why so keen to only have SAHM?

Hardandsleazy · 22/11/2010 19:29

Also you may be better posting this in chat or parenting as this thread generally on particular employment/legal issues so may get lost here

violethill · 22/11/2010 19:34

Since when has looking after children been a 'job'?!

It's what we all do, mums, dads... many of us combine it with work too...

If you're determined to find some other
"Mummys who looking after children is our job?" (btw that does not make sense!)
then I agree with Hardandsleazy - you'd be better off on some other thread, not employment!

flowerybeanbag · 22/11/2010 19:41

Agree with others if you want to set up some group exclusively for SAHMs, you are unlikely to find many of them posting in 'Employment Issues'.

harecare · 22/11/2010 19:43

Of course looking after children is a job. For most parents it is usually unpaid unless they happen to be a childminder and can look after other children as their job at the same time.
Most of us who do paid work aside from caring for our own family have to pay someone else to do the job.

OP, set up a thread on parenting or use netmums or facebook.

lol flowery - good point!

I think we all benefit from talking to people who aren't in our demographic.

OP just post in Chat.
