Is anyone a member of Sage Bookkeepers Club?

Does it work out cheaper in the long run to have multi company access?

I have a few clients - and I'm having to backup and restore data each time - on a normal licence.

I believe that even though they all have their own copies at their offices - I can only have 1 installation of Line 50 on my laptop.

Shrinkingviolet - Quickbooks is quite flexible and the way it allows you to split the accounts by class gives you easy options to allocate restricted/unrestricted funds.

YOu can still buy a multi company licence for Sage 50 - Client Manager, it is a 6 user 25 company licence and costs 595 in the first year and 295 in the second.
This gives you sagecover support and the upgrades each year.

It is available in lower licences with the accountants club as you found out when you called but if you don't want the freebie software, discounts and support you can buy it standalone.

Hi,

I have my own tiny business doing IT consultancy and have just bought sage instant accounts plus. So far I've done most of the stuff I need to do but just cannot get my head around payroll!Confused

I am looking for someone who will do a v.small amount of book-keeping, basically checking what I have done over the last four months of operation, doing payroll for me for April, May & June and that's it. I should add there is only one person on the payroll - me!

How much would you charge per hour? And can you say how many hours this might take you?

Thanks,
Jon

Is this a Limited Company? If it is, you are really going to struggle without an accountant to deal with the year end tax and companies house reporting, and they will usually take care of payroll for you, and will also help you to pay no more tax than you have to. If it isn't, you don't need payroll because you are self employed.
