Made a stupid mistake on my CV.

Its my 64th job application and my DH pointed out that the dates are wrong on both this one and the 63rd. I've lost two years, do I phone them and point it out, hope that they won't notice or hope that they might interview me anyway and just ask about it. SO BL**DY depressed with this whole business...

It's probably not the end of the world that you have what could be a typing error in your CV, depending on what jobs you are going for.

But, if I were on my 64th job application, I would want to know that the CV that I am submitting is absolutely the best reflection of me that it can be.

It sounds like your DH has looked over it. Can you get someone else - more objective - to have a look? If now, you could ask at the local job centre or even library if there is someone available to have a look for you.

It must be really soul-destroying and I wish you the very best.

I am rewriting it every time, that's why it develops mistakes I guess...also why I now loathe the sight of it. It has been passed by the Job Center (I went on a course).I am going for a fairly high calibre job so I really need it to be right. I have had interviews for lesser positions where I'm told I'm over qualified, but I have two year gap which the executive types don't like (me being a Mummy and all).
Thanks for your best wishes, i will keep slogging away. I am very glad that I have my DH to support me while this is going on. I can't imagine what its like to be like this and relying on benefits!
