Ok so i understand i may just need to swallow hard and get on with it but i am dreading returning to work. i had my first DD in 2008 and am currently on maternity leave for second DD however i am returning to work in 2 weeks. i need to work rather than want to and everytime i think about it i just cry - yep i'm a sado. Please tell me there are other people who feel like this too! Most of my friend are SAHM's and i envy them so much!

I couldn't talk to anyone about returning to work the first time without crying so I didn't talk about it!!

You and your DC's will survive. Someone posted recently that having children was like the first time she looked down a mircoscope, expected it to be dark but it was all sparkly and interesting. Going back to work was like looking up from the microscope, realising that there was a whoel world out there and her DC's were just (an important) part of it. She could stand up straight again after months of cradling babies and walk at her own pace for a few hours a day.

Enjoy it, make the most of your time at work and make the most of your time with your children, treat yourself to home deliveries, a cleaner and some non Mummy clothes!!

Where do you work?
Are you going back full or part time?
My mate had to go full time but softened the blow by taking a days leave a week for several months
keep thinking about Xmas, by then you'll be settled in a new routine

Thank you! I'm hoping to return part-time but my boss has not been very responsive to e-mails (annoying!) I don't think it is helped by the fact that I don't really like my job as since having DD1 I seem to be given all the rubbish jobs.
Already been considering a cleaner and i will definately be going out to buy some clothes any excuse really!!

Agree with Misty- sounds like you don?t have a choice so try to make the best of it.

I was like you ? I couldn?t even look at this topic on MN as I didn?t want to face it. I went back in January this year full time. It was hard but now I?ve turned it around and I?m making the best of it, trying to achieve something so it makes it more worth while leaving my DD.

Enjoy your final 2 weeks and keep positive.
