OMFG, who is this ^person^ on Front Row?

Rhetorical question. I know who he is, because Mark Lawson just said: Piers Paul Reid, apparently. A novelist. And a MASSIVE TWAT.

Sample opinions: that feminism is based on distortions of history; that no women before the 18th century felt remotely oppressed by men (in fact, they all liked the "natural order" and everyone was happier); that feminism is "a Casanova's charter" that feminism has led directly to the breakdown of the family.

And that was just in a 10-minute interview -- God knows what he's like to live with , but apparently he's been married to the same long-suffering woman for 43 years.

So, are we all running out to buy his new novel, which happens to be entitled The Misogynist?

Here. Didn't really read it myself, but thought you might do since you are such a fan.

He's having to compensate for being a Piers. Poor man.

Wow, LordCopper. Thanks for the link .

I'm going to link to the iPlayer when they upload it (if I remember...). I want people to marvel with me.

edam, apparently most people call him Jiminy ...

He also says (in the article LordCopper linked to):

"I do think children are extraordinarily vulnerable and I think they are the victims of the triumph of feminism in that it is partly to blame for the huge statistics of the breakup of marriages and relationships of people who didn't get married"

and then,

"Of course, I did have a rather powerful, bullying and intense mother. So it's possible that I'm projecting my complexes on to the situation."

pmsl

powerful, bullying and intense - is that code for 'occasionally told me off and made me brush my teeth and comb my hair'?
