What is the current wave of feminism called?

Sorry if this is a silly question!
There does seem to be a bit of a resurgence at the moment (one which is direly needed ) but the themes seem to have more in common with 2nd Wave than 3rd Wave.
Are we having a new wave or are we, like, the end of the 3rd Wave or what?!

I know it seems a bit silly to fuss about labels rather than the actual action itself but my brother was asking me the other day and I wasn't quite sure.

how about The Ninth Wave

I'm wondering now if all the recent books which call themselves feminist can be divided into 'real feminism' and 'third wavey post feminist crap'? Which is not to say all 3rd wave is crap, it very much isn't, but maybe a proportion....

I really don't like the 'wave' description at all. It implies that it's just a phase that will be over soon.

Attitude and Entitlement!

Common sense.

I am enjoying the invasion, btw.

FrothyDragon · 10/03/2013 20:13

You know, every time we have an invasion, I find myself thinking of this ol' classic...

Oh how lovely to see this thread bumped, I'm getting all nostalgic now.
When Prolesworth was Molesworth.....

I have never forgotten Lenin's answer, the 'thank fuck for that' wave. This is what I tell people now if anyone ever asks.
