Russell T Davies says I called him "a paedophile and a groomer" in this. It's a lie. I did call him a groomer, because he used Doctor Who to push gender ideology, in which no child would believe unless an adult had planted it in his or her head.

And I just find it disingenuous from him. It's no secret I don't love his decent into more, let's call it, aggressive strategies on social media, but they are now coming home to roost and won't be good for any of us.

The word Groomer has a very specific history when it comes to CSA so to use it as often as he (and other) do and then claim you don't mean it in the very well accepted way is always meant just doesn't sit right with me.

Is there a term we can use that isn't sp precariously close to slandering someone as a Child sex abuser?

Here is the article he is referring to in the tweet

https://www.theguardian.com/media/2026/oct/03/russell-t-davies-interview-doctor-who-fierce-fandom-love-grief

‘One person turned up at my house’: Russell T Davies on fierce fandom, finding love after grief - and the fear that drives him to keep a knife by the door

He’s the titan of TV who revived a flatlined Doctor Who and turned British queer life into jaw-dropping drama. But the screenwriter’s groundbreaking writing has sometimes made him a target of hate – from homophobes and Whovians alike

Gender critical feminism belongs to the strand of feminism called Dominance Feminism where power dominates women's behaviour.

Now I’ve retrieved my eyeballs from the back of my head, I’m pointing out how this is the latest in appropriation of GC arguments being used against us. Honestly, Putin would be proud of the Kremlin-level of DARVO in action here.

Just as Naomi so clearly illustrated in SPs ET that a desire for domination is at the root of this male desire to enter single sex spaces and no other space will do, we start to get called dominant. Sheesh. Have they no original ideas?

DeanElderberry · 05/10/2026 18:55

They cannot understand that someone who has had to defend herself against harassment, assault, unequal distribution of resources and access, lack of control of her reproductive health, lack of access to financial services, restriction in choice of job, strong pressure to provide unpaid domestic and caring services etc etc etc spends their entire life after the age of 12 fighting the patriarchy and does not have the leisure to sit down and give fancy names to 'strands' of feminism.

Feminism is the air we breathe. The air we need in order to breathe. And it does not belong to men.

Heggettypeg · 05/10/2026 19:29

Such a lot of hyperbolic silly nonsense.

Recognising that some girls are very vulnerable to peer-group influence and suggestion is equated with denying that women as a class have agency.

And all this rubbish about segregation. Women taking the calculated risks necessary to participate with men in employment and public life know that if they didn't, the downsides for them would be massive. Like having no money in a money-based economy. So they just get on with it. When the same women protest being subjected to entirely unnecessary additional risks, like having men actually in their changing rooms, they're accused of being inconsistent. It's false logic. Just because you put up with unavoidable shit doesn't mean that you have to put up with any extra shit that someone decides to dump on you.

This is silly. Trans people specifically use trans woman/man & non binary to distinguish themselves from natal males & females.

Do they? Really? Not a single trans person of the manymany whom I have met and spent time with has done so unless to they felt a need to tell me that I was being silly for not realising they were trans and for therefore politely treating them as if they were of the sex they are not and that I don't know what I am talking about and they do because "I am trans". Generally they are so sure they pass that they assume I have failed to notice the blindingly obvious, too, and need to be informed of their ambiguous status.

What they then will say is "I am trans", not "I am a trans woman" or "I am a trans man". Honourable exception, a poster on this board who cleared the air by using the term trans man.

So how you reconcile this opinion with the GI mantra that women are only saying no to males in female spaces because the right wing “goons” are manipulating them?

I never said they were being unconsciously manipulated. In my view they know exactly how they are being exploited but they are largely single issue feminists even if its to the detriment of the feminist project as a whole. Single issue voters are problematic for this reason as they often do more damage to the over arching cause…& don't care as long as they get their way.

It does make you wonder about single issue people & if there are deeper motivations than just the issue at stake if they are willing to burn the whole project down.

Give me a break. GC ideology is entirely predicated on gender being exclusively a social construct that has managed to not only hypnotise people into believing they can 'change sex' because they are 'slaves' to patriarchal standards but has 'indoctrinated' women into feminine expression for the same reasons.

The whole thing is underpinned by a denial of individual agency that determines women to be feeble infantilised creatures incapable of executing an authentic act who need to be wrapped in cotton wool. Its internalised misogyny at its best….& that's exactly why the far right is cheering it on.

So hold on, women defending their rights know they’re being manipulated but do it anyway? Could it not be that women don’t want men in their spaces? You do know that right? As they know men are dangerous to women as a class. I mean, 98% of sexual assault and 100% of rapes are carried out by men.
can you think of one material benefit to women of allowing men into female spaces? Just one will do. Why would women be expected to do something to their detriment just because some men have decided they want in?

Well yes, gender is a social construct. it is a group of roles # society has # constructed to determine how people should behave. Feminists want to smash gender. The genderborg need it, as without gender, how can someone prove they are trans

patriarchy - only women wear dresses
femimism - anyone can wear a dress
gender ideology - if you wear a dress you’re a woman

see how that works?

This has been already addressed up thread repeatedly where we are still waiting for another commenter to counter the scientific consensus & evidence provided that its not only nurture but nature that influences behaviour.

But thanks for confirming GC's don't believe women have agency .

You really don’t like women saying no to you do you? The reason feminists are fighting so hard on this is, the genderborg are expecting women to # give up their # rights so some men can be happy. Feminists fought long and hard to get rights for women. Now why on earth should women give up their rights? What material benefit would that give to women?

So you’re saying gender is innate? Really? So changing gender norms must be by your logic evolution? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
So can you list some of these innate “gender norms” that all women have and no men do? Because for something to be innate, it must be there from birth right? Not learned.

Womanhood isn't a behaviour, it's what adult human females are, nurture has no influence over it.

Projection. Its actually you who is avoiding the point about single issue activists…probably because its inconvenient & desperately so given that you are now pretending you are now in some sort of irrational scenario where a 'man' won't take no for an answer. No offence, but this is crazy talk.

PS I'm a natal female (but you knew that)….another inconvenient truth.

Some gendered behaviours have been found to be influenced by genes hormones & evolutionary pressures. I linked a paper upthread about in utero hormones & behaviours you ignored remember?

You would think an ideology that bangs on incessantly about the immutability of male violence would comprehend how hormones influence behaviour.

So if male violence is immutable and influenced by genes, surely it would still be there when men “transition”. So again, how would allowing men into female spaces benefit women?

Are you ok? I literally said feminism was the fight for the rights of women and girls, so therefore women fighting for the rights of girls and women to single sex spaces is er….. fighting for the rights of women and girls, therefore

Depends on the hormone & gene distribution. Not all individuals are alike that's why they are individuals hence some females are violent.

Ahh, so basically gender as you put it is not innate, or are you saying violent criminal women are “born that way”? Unless you kept that child in a societal vacuum, how would you prove it was innate or learned behaviour?
