On The Sad Passing of Dolly Parton

J.K. Rowling mourned Dolly Parton, then deadnamed a trans woman under the same post. Dolly’s fans did not hold back.
Rowling has spent years using her platform to harass and invalidate transgender people.

Dolly Parton spent decades making LGBTQ people feel loved.

After Dolly died, Rowling began praising her online, calling her Imagination Library “the best contribution to child literacy ever made by a celebrity.” She said they crossed paths once backstage at a talk show in the 90s, and she was “tongue-tied and starstruck.”

The replies quickly filled with the Dolly she left out.

In 2005, Dolly wrote and recorded “Travelin’ Thru” for Transamerica, a film centered on a transgender woman.
When North Carolina passed its anti-trans bathroom law, Dolly said she hoped everybody got the chance “to be who and what they are.”

When Tennessee was targeting trans people in 2023, Dolly said trans people could not help being trans any more than she could help being Dolly Parton.
“I know and love them all, and I do not judge.”

Rowling was still in the replies.

She answered British trans activist Dame Katy Denise by deadnaming her and saying she had seen her birth certificate.

When another user said she and Dolly had nothing in common, Rowling replied that “neither of us want Jolene to take our man.”

Dolly once put it this way: “We are all God’s children and how we are is who we are.”

There is a further article of the right-thinking world's reaction to Rowling's... characteristic behaviour here: https://www.out.com/celebs/jk-rowling-dolly-parton?mrfcid=202608266a8c32408240c960826a25ab

J.K. Rowling torched for tone-deaf tribute to Dolly Parton: 'A new low'

The transphobic Harry Potter author was slammed for her social media soliloquy by fans of the iconic ally.

We're so glad to see so many of you lovely people here tonight
And we would especially like to welcome all the
Representatives of the various types of the chair community
Who have chosen to join us here in
Dame Katy's dining room at this time
We do sincerely hope you'll all enjoy the show
And please remember people, that no matter what type of chair you are
And what you do to live, thrive and survive
There are still some things that make us all the same
You, me, them, everybody, everybody

Everybody needs some chairs, yay!
Everybody needs some chairs (yay!) to love
Sofas to love (sofas to love)
Couches to sit (couches to sit)
Chaise longue to fit (chaise longue to fit)
I need tub, tub, tub
I need dining, dining, dining
I need swing, swing, swing
In the evening (I need club, club, club)
When my knees are on fire (I need arm, arm, arm)

Sometimes I feel
I feel a little sad inside
When my chair, it just fails me
And I fall straight down, right on my behind
I need deck, deck, deck
I need stool, stool, stool
I need bench, bench, bench
I need pew, pew, pew
I need you

You know people when you do find that chair
Hold that sedan, hold that ottoman
Love it, cherish it, upholster it, clean it
Cushion, throw and comforter it, give 'em all those accessories
Make sure you don't pour your tea all over it
Because it's so important to have that special chair
To sit, rest, perch, pose, and lounge

Everybody needs some chairs (yay!)
Everybody needs chairs (yay!) to love (everybody)
Sofas to love (needs somebody)
Couches to sit(everybody)
Chaise longues to fit (needs somebody)

Thank you! Brilliant 😆

Not getting the 'chair poverty' thing

But I do have some spare chairs, which I'd swap Dr Dame Katy for an autographed pic 'cos she's an absolute icon and is also stunning and brave.
Go Dr Dame K-D

😡at so called intelligent people (Cambridge academic et al) calling JKR 'transphobic'
Change the bloody record

It’s because there are countless pictures of AGP men posing, often in odd positions which presumably they think are “sexy” when they could just be sat down normally. Have a scroll through Dame Katy’s X page and you’ll get the gist. So Katy/Keith surmises they can’t afford chairs and selflessly campaigns to help them.

Oh dear me, I don’t know how I missed this yesterday but, fuck me, this is hilarious. Do you currently identify as a Numpty, OP?

Re chair poverty, if you want to check out the #chairpoverty tag on xitter.
It was basically poking fun at the number of men identifying as women using fetishy pictures of themselves lying or sitting on the floor or draped over other non-chair pieces of furniture. Or maybe they're just trolls claiming to identify as women as an excuse to air their fetishes. Who can tell? Neither possibility is good for TRA arguments.

A more delicious example of hoist by their own petard in respect of the OP and the publication they cited to back up their outrage would be hard to find.

No wonder the OP has not returned, the embarrassment at being exposed as so utterly foolish and blinded by prejudice must be so excrutiating it physically hurts.

Dolly Parton and JKR have this in common: they both used their wealth to support women, JKR with Beira's Place, and Dolly with this women's hospital in Tennessee

Both women knew what a woman is!
