"Gender Construction Kit"

This is advertised on the transredditUK. https://genderkit.org.uk/

It's about how to be a stereotyped man or woman.

Nothing about how it's fine to be a woman and have body hair, not wear make up, perfume, nail varnish or spinny skirts. Nothing about how it's okay to be a man and not have a beard and big muscles and a massive bulge in your crotch.

Also, why would you need a website like this if you've spent your whole life knowing for sure you're the opposite sex? Don't they all know instinctively how to woman or how to man?

How would I ever have known that cutting hair reduces its length and growing it increases the length without that website to explain it to me

Or how hair colouring changes the colour of your hair?

That's very simplistic; is it aimed at children?

Not much info about who created it or who its for other than

made for UK queers by UK queers

Wearing deodorant reduces body odour. OK... how is this gender specific?

This is the most basic website I've seen in a long time, I wonder if someone had to create something because they're in receipt of a lot of money and need something to show for it?

I followed 2 of the link's and they both led back to Transactul, it looks like the site is just for attracting attention and once they've got it, to redirect them to another site. Probably directed at young people. It's a grooming tool.

The layout and (ostensibly) clear, simple language looks like it follows autism communication principles.

In reality this language isn't clear at all. "Gender" has become a pick and mix that goes way beyond the positives of challenging sex-based stereotypes.

Without this being related to "gender" it could be a very positive way to talk to autistic teenagers about their changing bodies during puberty and how they can break down what's happening to them versus the choices they can make about how they want to look.

Instead it's a way to harness feelings of gender dysphoria, lock it in with every aspect of someone's life being all about "gender" and signpost to medical interventions on every page.

The types of people who need this explained could be autistic teenage girls who are struggling with sensory issues about breast development or periods. Or autistic teenage boys who are struggling with the change to their voice, or the sensory aspects of beard growth or genital growth.

Puberty is a huge change for everyone but it has additional difficulties to navigate for autistic children. Not only the physical changes but also the emotional changes. Before puberty, the difference between being a boy or a girl is relatively small. From puberty onwards, heterosexual boys start to leer at girls' bodies, sexual orientation begins to emerge and may be confusing. Or it may be slow to emerge in the case of autistic children, which may be equally confusing.

I wouldn't say that any of these children are morons. I would say they are vulnerable to being given answers for their confusion/distress that are completely inappropriate.

Judging by other posts I think Battshit is calling us morons BonfireLady

Edited

Ahhhhhhhhhh. That post has been deleted now, which is a bit of a shame, so I think you must be right.

It was so ambiguous that I thought the PP was saying that only a moron wouldn't know how to navigate how they feel about all the things that are covered in the website.

Under my interpretation, the difference with that and the other posts was that it directly insulted anyone who was confused enough to use the website. Other PPs hadn't gone that far, which is why it stood out to me... I assumed it was a very hardcore "GC" position 😂

@TheywontletmehavethenameIwant I think you're spot on with your analysis. From what I saw, all the links go to Transactual. IMO it's a very dangerous website, hiding in plain sight, and represents a risk for anyone who is vulnerable to believing themselves to be in the wrong body. In particular, autistic children who are going through puberty.

spannasaurus · 18/08/2026 12:27

I suspect the recent spate of posters want to be deleted as evidence of their claims that GC is a cult that deletes anything posted that doesn't agree with the "approved GC view"

Interesting. I guess taken out of context screenshots could indeed support that, despite there being posts all over this site that remain standing, where they’re able to spew their ill informed nonsense and state proudly that people are what they say they are.

Igmum · 18/08/2026 13:04

I agree @BonfireLadyit’s designed to lure in vulnerable autistic kids.

What's frustrating is that it will likely come across as very neutral in its approach.

Anyone pointing out the way that it uses autism communication techniques and has a very clear signposting to "gender affirming care" at every turn risks sounding like a conspiracy theorist.
