It’s not new and it’s not uniquely British. I had a quick look on google and it brings up cases going back to the eighties.

However, some women are becoming brave and putting their head above the parapet. https://lsj.com.au/articles/adf-faces-class-action-over-systemic-harassment-and-violence-against-women/

I think it goes back far further than that, and women have spoken up.

This is 2026 and young women are signing up for a career and the dominate male culture is basically allowing rape.

Why doesn't the army just advertise to female recruits that rape is part of the induction.

Needs shutting down and people need jailing, what an awful, awful place.

It’s not the place though it’s the culture wherever that is.

A male relative of mine was at Welbeck army college over 30 years ago and it was going on there. Against male recruits (there were no females then). Welbeck was a sixth form army college

Mr Gorden, highlighting previous parliamentary inquiries as well as the Ministry of Defence’s (MoD) own research, said they had all pinpointed to a “culture” of sexual violence and misogyny.

There was a danger, he warned now, that placing the new investigation into the hands of a senior military figure would make it more difficult for victims to speak out.
